Scrappin Retreat
This picture was talen a couple of weekends a ago at our Srappin Retreat at the Putney Inn in Putney, VT. I would have to say this was one of the best weekends I have ever had. We scrapbook, we ate and we slept a litte too. We arrived on Fri Nov. 7th at 2pm and we didn't leave untill Sun. at 3pm. It was so much fun and I completed 15 12x12 2 page layouts. Yeah. Oh by the way the people in the picture are Carol (Tish's mom), Me, Tish (my downline) and Tasha. This Scrappin Reatreat was sponsored by the Scrapbook Nook in Bellowfalls, VT.
This is one of the lay outs I completed. I use the retired winter bright scrapbook kit and a few other extras. I'll post some more lay outs later in the week.

Frankinstein
Isn't this the cutest thing you ever seen, or at least today anyways. I made this at my upline's Lynn Larson house. I was there for a downline meeting doing a little stamping, swapping and sharing.
Anyways we made these use the big shot and the top note die. You die cut the green galore and the lovely lilac together. You cut the lovely lilac to make hair. Add some punches an whoaloa. It's pretty easy to make, but the big shot is a must. I have to tell you the big shot is on the very top of my wish list.
Guess what, now you can order your favorite Stampin Up products from the comfort of your own home online. Just go to my SU website here to place your order today.

Okay it's not a Stampin Up stamp, but.............
I like it a lot. I have a lot of hunter's in my family, so I'm always in the search for deer stamps. This is made by Northwoods Rubber Stamp, INC. Everything else on the card is Stampin Up. The cs colors are garden green, creamy carmel, close to cocoa and very vanilla. The pattern paper is prestwick disgner paper. I also used some of this paper on the uder the stars card. I used some choc chip ribbon and some retired hodgepodge hardware. This is going to be my dad's birthday card. Happy Stamping everyone.

Swap Card
I made this card for a swap I sign up for. I made another card too, but I forgot to take a picture before I mailed them, silly me. Anyways I used garden green and night of navy cs and some of the new pattern paper. This card uses the under the stars stamp set from the new catalog thats actually on sale right now. I punch out the stamp images with the 1 3/8 and matted on the 1 3/4 and drew some stitching with the white gel pen. Don't you love that pen.

Framed Scrapbook
I made this framed scrapbook and entered in the local fair craft and hobbies exhibit and won first prize in the paper crafts section(yeah). I painted the frame brown and let it dry then painted a clear crackle medium over the brown and let it dry. I painted a light blue over that and it crackled. I thought it came out pretty cool. The frame took the longest to finish just waiting for the paint to dry. When the frame was finished I strung two wires from side to side and just hook them to the square things that hold the glass in the frame. I cut 6 4 1/2" squares and set an eyelet in each one. I strung through the eyelet and wrapped that piece of wire around wire attached to the frame. By the way I used the Happy Camper stamp set from Stampin Up that retired this year. I got this idea from a paper crafts magazine and made it with using stampin up. Also this frame is used with out the glass. I pick it up at a local thrift store for $2.00.

Baby Gift Bag
I made this gift bag for my husband's cousin who just had a brand new baby girl. I saw this idea in one of the convention photos. I decorated the front with the new pink and pretty in pink soild card stock. I punch out circles and used crystal effects to attach the circle punch out to the clear buttons. I used the new scallop punch down the front. And on the top big half circle I punch out sm ovals and cut them in half and adhered to the back. I thought it came out cute, what do ya think?

HIT ME WITH YOUR BIG SHOT
Big news in Stampin Up. They have released the Sizzix Big Shot for Stampin' Up.
For those you don't know what a Big Shot is The Big Shot is a manual die-cutting system that you can use for a number of projects and crafts. The simplicity of the Big Shot makes it a great addition to any one's crafting hobby.
How does it work? Using steel-ruled and chemically-etched dies, the Big Shot cuts out images by passing card stock and other materials through rollers that utilize pressure to cut through the materials. With just a couple turns of the handle, you'll be able to cut through a wide variety of materials. The Big Shot also comes with special cutting pads and a cutting platform that not only make the Big Shot safer and easier to use, but also lengthen the life of the product.
The Big Shot works with ALL competitive dies, and the steel rule dies can cut through an impressive list of items. See below:
Cut through the following 50 materials using steel rule dies and your Big Shot machine. Please note the maximum thickness of several materials.

New Stuff
I received my new stuff from my pre-order from the new catalog on Tuesday. Just one of the many advantages of being a demo. We get try out everything first. Well anyways I broke out the new in-colors and had fun playing with Baja Breeze paper and ink. I found a card I like and tweak it a little and this is what I came up with. The big bold flower is stamp with whisper white ink and then dried. Once it's dry you color on the flower with the pencil. Then for a fininshing touch I added whit gel pen. You can find great video on black magic here made by veronicaskreations.
Supplies:
Stamps- Faboulous Flowers
Paper- basic black, whisper white, baja breeze.
Ink- whisper white craft, baja breeze
Accessories- metalic pencils, white ribbon, and gel pen

Isn't this card cute. I pulled this card out of the swap drawer it was created by Crystal D Erzen. The scallop edge was created with the corner rounder. It takes a litte while, but makes a cute edge. But guess what Stampin Up is coming out with a scallop border punch woohoo. I can't wait it will out in the new catalog. Yeah.

Newbie
I'm so excited, I have my own blog. Yippee. And I finally have high speed internet. Yippee again. We'll I have to keep this short. I need to go cut cardstock for a shoebox swap I'm attending tonight at my 4th upline's house. Which means I will have some beatiful swaps that I will be posting this weekend. Well here are a few cards to get you by.
These are all stamp with Bloomin Beatiful and the dsp is Afternoon tea.
I cased this card off of splitcoast. I forget the link it was a couple of weeks ago. Anyways I changed it a little. Isn't it beatiful. I will be showing my ladies how to do this at my afternoon tea class.
This card I came up with on my own. Do you like my scalloped edge. I created from a bunch of oval punch outs. I put a line of adhesive around the edge on the back and just started laying out my punches. I added a little gel pen and Wholaa.
I just love these flowers. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping.
